Initial Implementation Steps

Libraries considering implementation of the Multilis Serials Control software need to

  • arrange for the loading of their bibliographic records (See the SULOP Production Schedule for information about ordering bibliographic data from OCLC.) Contact the SUNY/OLIS regarding the loading of this bibliographic data by sending electronic mail to olis@slscva.sysadm.suny.edu
  • arrange for software training (Contact the SUNY/OLIS to schedule this training by sending electronic mail to olis@slscva.sysadm.suny.edu)

Summary Holdings Statements using "SULOP Items"

SUNY/OLIS also offers a service where summary holdings statements for a library's serials are placed in a Multilis item record. Usually this information is derived from the library's OCLC SULOP (Serial Union List Offline Products). This service is available to all LAIP libraries regardless of whether or not that library chooses to implement the serials software. See the Multilis Serials Option memo for more information about this service. The following libraries have utilized this service as of June 1998:

Alfred College of Technology
Canton College of Technology
Cayuga Community College
Delhi College of Technology
Finger Lakes Community College
Herkimer County Community College
Old Westbury University College
Onondaga Community College
